Answer in a complete paragraph response: How has the Communicate module prepared you to meet each standard listed above? Link to or provide specific examples from your work in Communicate. What strategies will you take away from the Communicate module and apply to your teaching?  What lessons were most beneficial for you?

Through the Communicate Module I have learned how important effective feedback and clear communication are when it comes to an online learning environment. Teachers must make expectations clear with students and parents and in turn, must effectively communicate these expectations with all stakeholders.

Additionally, online instructors must provide students with individualized, meaningful feedback on assignments in the form of rubrics, images, audio, etc. in order to help students excel throughout the course. If a student is not doing well, it is the teacher’s job to communicate frequently with parents in a FERPA-compliant manner. Overall, effective communication is at the root of a successful online learning experience.
